Darryl Hurts was born in Alexander Louisiana. Hurts is a self taught artist and his work embraces the idea of inspiration. He is truly fueled by what he calls a complete life, which involves the good parts and the pain of life. To create his work he uses a variety of mediums ranging from image transfers, photography, drawing, & acrylic paint. Which is then applied to wooded panels or stretched canvases and coated in with epoxy resin. He lives and works in Charlotte NC
